I love Gargoyles!  Why?  Well, it's definitely not your typical Disney Animated Feature.  Most Disney animation I've seen tends to be too much for kids.  Too many musical numbers, too many man saving woman plots, too many watered down legends.  Even too many movies similiar to some Anime movies or shows out there.

Gargoyles isn't anything like all of that.  Gargoyles has plenty of action and violence.  Gargoyles has an independent female character.  Gargoyles actually has a sad ending on some episodes!  Most of all...no singing!

Plus, the characters are well-thought-out and have their flaws to their personalities.

I also like writing fan fiction based on Gargoyles.  The characters are complex enough to be challenging, but not too complex to be annoying.  Goliath, Elisa, Brooklyn, Broadway, Angela, Lexington, Hudson, Xanatos, Fox, Dingo, Bronx, Oberon, Hyena, etc.  There's a lot of characters to work with.

Not only that, but the Gargoyles fandom itself doesn't seem to have as many rivalries or Anti-(Insert Fan Gripe Here) as most other fandoms.  Most people are pretty accepting to what you write, no matter how weird or 'disturbed' it might be.

What else do I like about Gargoyles?  The use of some main-stream issues in the storyline.  Racism is one.  The Gargoyles have a hate-group after them in later episodes.  Not to mention inter-racial love.  Elisa the Human, and Goliath the Gargoyle, destined to be together but inhibited because of what makes them up.
