Sage Concludes Big 5 Match Weekend
SOUTHEAST TEXAS - Jeromy Sage was busy this weekend, in many different matches across the Gulf Coast Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
First of all, Friday, Sage traveled to Hitchcock, TX to compete for a WSW event that raised money for the Cooking For Kids charity.  This organization raises money for kids with cancer and blood disorders.
At this event, Sage took on AC Riddick in the night's main event.  The two men, knowing each other so very well, took each other's best stuff, but in the end, Riddick got a quick rollup for the victory.
The next afternoon, Sage traveled back to the same place, for more matches, this time for the kids themselves.  Sage was teamed with Riddick this time to face the Fu Man Crew.  However, Sage and Riddick could not function as a team, and finally came to blows in the middle of the ring, causing the match to be thrown out, and a rematch between the two to be signed.
In the rematch, much of the same from last night took place, this time with Sage getting more aggressive, by throwing Riddick outside to do extra damage.  This time, just like the night before, though, Riddick managed to get the victory, hitting his double hand chokeslam for the win.
On Sunday afternoon, Sage traveled to Pearland, TX where at the American Legion

Hall, he took on the young, masked Strike Force.  Sage dominated the match with the young wrestler, though Force did show plenty of effort.
In the end, Sage was able to hit his inverted DDT slam, seemingly for the win, but the kid kicked out.  Sage hit another, and again the kid got a shoulder up just in time.  Finally, Sage threw a clothesline, which Strike Force ducked, hit a backslide, and got the huge upset and the first win of his career.
After the match, Sage called the young wrestler into the ring, but instead of attacking him, shook his hand to congratulate him.  Later, Sage would tag with the Fu Man Crew to take on Strike Force, Major Pest, and AC Riddick, in a six-man tag main event.
Sage was not operating well with his teammates in this one, as he kept insisting they play it by the book.  In the end, the Crew hit their finisher on Pest, then brought Sage in to make the pin.  However, Sage clotheslined his teammates instead, pulling Pest on top of Knight to give the other team the 1,2,3.
The team of Riddick, Force, and Pest raised Sage's hand in victory, as it was announced that it would be Sage's last match with the company.
Sage & Shadow Both Lose Careers At Capital Punishment
ARLINGTON, TX -  In one of the most anticipated matches of the year, Jeromy Sage took on Shadow in a career vs. career match Saturday at Capital Punishment.  The outcome, though, was something noone could have predicted.
Both ment started out the match very cautious, with Shadow finally gaining the upper hand with a big kick to the face as Sage was attempting a back drop.  Shadow hit a flapjack and side slam for two counts and maintained control.
Sage then got caught in a guerilla press, but instead of keeping it in the ring, Shadow dumped his opponent 11 feet down to the floor!  As Sage recovered, the big man then planchad over the top rope, onto Sage.
Sage would get a golden opportunity though, as Shadow missed an attempt to clothesline Sage into the ring pole, instead crashing his own shoulder into it.  Sage wasted no time attacking the shoulder, in fact, leaving it dangling lifeless at Shadow's side by the end of the match.
However, Shadow mounted a small comeback, and out of nowhere hit the Blackout, seemingly for the win.  But, since he was not able to pin immediately, Sage was actually able to kick out.
Sage recovered in time to stop Shadow with a single arm DDT, then headed to the

top for a Sage Dive, which Shadow kicked out of.  Frustrated, Sage attempted another, but Shadow stopped him, and the two crashed to the mat from a superplex.
Shadow regained control, and attempted a second Blackout, but Sage kneed the injured shoulder, and went into desperation mode.  After a series of close two counts,  Sage was still unable to keep the big man down, and went for the chain hidden in the turnbuckle.
Shadow was up though, ducked the chain shot, and from nowhere hit the big boot for the 1-2-3, ending Sage's career in PCW!
The shocking moments were not over, however, as PCW Owner Thomas Bussey appeared on the ramp.  He berated Sage, calling him a failure, and saying he was glad Sage's career was over.  He then told Shadow that Sage was not the only one, and then fired Shadow!
The two men were not even allowed back to the locker room area, as security escorted them out the back area.  Fans were stunned as they were witness to the end of both Jeromy Sage's and Shadow's PCW careers.
