| Welcome to our Homepage (Loreto,Dinagat,Surigao del Norte) Your Host : Jernie Escobido-Hebling There's no place like home! Loreto is a home to strongly-tied families and successful professionals. Loreto hosts beautiful & natural beaches and four lovely islets. The first time my husband came to Loreto that was June 2003, he was amazed by it's natural beauty and the warm welcome of my relatives and friends. He was overwhelmed with the sight especially the islets we passed-by on our way to Loreto. Due to our tight schedule, we couldn't stay long. We spent only a day in Linaw Spring Resort, a day in Black Beach Campintac, a day in Polo Island (Herbert calls it Chicken Island because there were so many chickens around) and a day of sight-seeing. He didn't have much problem with the food because he loves fresh seafoods. Our stay there was really worth while. Since then, he loves the place and wanted to spend more time in Loreto. Last February until March 2005, we spent our two months holiday in the Philippines. Together with Herbert's parents, we had a wonderful week in Boracay Islands, a short stay in Cebu and more than a week stay in Loreto. We did sight-seeing trips from Campintac to Tubajon. They find it very interesting seeing the rice grains lying on the ground (humay gibuwad) and dried fish hanged outside without cover. We spent quality time in the beach as they love collecting shells. Most of the afternoons, we were soaking in Linaw Resort because of the fresh and cold water (they even call it "swimming pool"). They enjoyed most driving with the pumpboat and go fishing. Catching more than two kilos of "Katambak" fish is not bad at all. The most memorable part of our stay is the 63rd birthday celebration of Daddy Klaus in Black Beach Campintac. The "lechon baboy" was the highlight for them, as they were so curious about it. Finally, they have tried it and realised that it tastes so good, really good. No doubt, their holiday experience in Loreto is one of a kind. Loreto is always remembered for it's natural beauty, the simple life she offers, and the warmth & hospitality of her people. This has inspired us to make a website featuring solely our place "LORETO" |
