Book Reviews:
The Fuck-Up: by Arthur Nersesian A look into dark and gritty New York City life as lived by anonymous slacker. To survive by doing as little as humanly possible. Not only is he a fuck-up, but anything that can possibly get worse for him does. A hilarious tragedy. Not for everyone, but if you liked books like "Trainspotting" this one's for you. A (Jeremy)
The Color Of Water: by James McBride. "A Black Man's Tribute to His White Mother" is written on the cover and basically says it all. It's about the struggle of a Jewish woman who's traumatic past forces her to break from her religion and find refuge in Harlem, NY, marrying a black preacher and raising 12 children while working two jobs. An amazing autobiography. Written so poetically and tastefully; giving you a true sense of what it would be like to grow up in his house. A (Linnet)
