Tahoe and Northern California |

We have taken a few trips to Northern California during the past two years. |

Lake Tahoe straddles the California/Nevada border in about the centre of the state. It is surrounded by mountains and forest. This photo is in Zephyr Cove on the Nevada side. |

Another lake that sits between California and Nevada is Topaz Lake on Highway 395. Another alpine lake surrounded by mountains. The little casino on the Nevada side serves a good breakfast! |

Yet another lake. This is Clear Lake in Northern California several hours north of San Francisco. This was taken on Thanksgiving Day, on our way up to Shelter Cove. Clear Lake was a good stopping point and it was very peaceful in November! |

This is Highway 395 south of Topaz Lake and Bodie, heading towards Bishop. The Sierra Nevada Mountains are really quite impressive in real life. |

Highway 101 in Mendocino County between Clear Lake and Shelter Cove. The 101 stretches from the Mexican border to Canada and includes great scenery like this. |
