Spring 2003
There was an incredible wildflower bloom.  Lots of California Poppies in the Antelope Valley and lots of other assorted flowers everywhere else!
Lupins, poppies and more: out towards Arvin on the other side of the Tehachapi Mountains from us.
Near the Antelope Valley Poppy Preserve the hills take on a surreal appearance.
The poppies make almost a solid carpet.
The firebird out in the poppy fields.  It days like this that it's great to have a convertible.
This is up near the wind mill farms.
You can never tell when you might get a late spring snow.  This was on 22 April (John's birthday)up in the Tehachapi Mountains; about 15 minutes drive from us.
