We had a great time kayaking at Abel Tasman National Park.  We did about 15 kilometres of paddling over the course of the day.  This phot is not actually us, but another member of our guided group of 4 kayaks.  Jerry and I would look about the same if the picture was of us.
We did a jet boat ride on the Shotover River.  This boat speeds up the narrow river gorge close to the rocks at about 115 kph.

We took turns on this.  It is called Fly By Wire.  You are suspended by a cable and get to fly a wingless airplane at top speed.  Click on the photo for a link to the FBW website which explains it better than I can.

Sunrise at Seatoun (also on the North Island).  This is outside of our room in "Wellywood", a suburb of the capital city Wellington where many people involved in the NZ film industry live.  Something like a way south Malibu.
This is on the North Island on the Coromandel Peninsula.  (click photo for link to Coromandel web site).
