Hello all! It's been awhile, but I've finally settled into my new home, I'm healthy again - thankfully - and I've started to pick up where I left off last time we spoke. Oh yeah, that's right, and I've been writing, too. I'm not finished with the grand finale of Haunt of the House just yet, but I'm working on it. All goes well it'll be done by the end of this weekend. In the interim, I've finally sat down to add several Wallpapers, FanArt, Links, and Awards to Eternal Balance. I'd go into specific detail of just whom was added where, but I'm burdened by not enough time and entirely too much to do, so just take a quick peek in and see what's been added everywhere. And look on the bright side, the next time I update the site it will be with the hopefully interesting conclusion to Haunt. Until then, everyone!

Note: I know it's been a good long while since I last updated the site, everyone, and I want to both apologize and explain the delay. I have, since I last updated, had to recover from a serious case of viral meningitis (2002 has NOT been a good year for me, medically), find a new job in a new town, find a place to live in said town, and prepare to move (which I will be doing on Oct. 19th). Haunt of the House, which I have not had time to work on as planned, will not be updated today. I know many of you are anxiously awaiting the next chapter, and I'm sorry to have to keep you waiting, but I just haven't been well enough, nor had the time to write like I want. It's very frustrating. I can tell you this, however. There is only one more chapter and an epilogue to go. The next update will be the last. This fact both relieves me and makes me said, as putting away a fic is both rewarding and a little depressing. Especially one as fun to write as Haunt has been. What I have had time to update, however is this:
Wallpaper: I want to welcome Lian to the world of wallpaper. I have enjoyed hosting her FanArt here for a while now, and finally I can say she's provided Eternal Balance with a fabulous wallpaper that everyone should enjoy. Please check out Lian's One Good Day. I have also had the privilege of adding two new wallpapers of Redd Summer's: With Feeling and Rhythm. Ever prolific, Helart has sent me two beauties as well: Red and Play. I hope you enjoy all the Spike and Buffy/Spike goodness.
Miscellaneous: Despite being less than complete, Haunt of the House has received its second FanFiction award. I was recently made aware that Haunt had received the Bloody Brilliant Award from Spike_Me_1's site, Inspired by Your Beauty Effulgent. Thank you Spike_Me!
Coming soon: Everything that I haven't gotten to yet. Which is everything. Bear with me, folks. Please. I'm going to get there if it kills me. And with my luck this year, it probably will.

Fanfiction: Well, I may have broken my personal land speed record, but Haunt of the House Part 13 is posted. Please, no one have a heart attack or anything, I know it's a shock to get two chapters from me in two weeks. What can I say? I was...motivated. <Grin> Also, as promised, Nimue's Once, When We Were Young is now posted in its entirety. This fiction marks the first short story on Eternal Balance. As you might have noticed if you've visited the Other Author's Archive, I have a tendency to enjoy the long saga-type fictions, but this fiction is so poignant and touching, I had no choice but to beg, plead, and grovel to be allowed to host it here. Thank goodness I give good grovel, as Nimue was kind enough to allow it.
Wallpaper: Despite cranking out a chapter of Haunt, I managed to find time to throw together a new wallpaper. You can see my latest, In Dreams and Shadows, on the Wallpaper page. I hope you like what you see.
FanArt: Um...okay...so I ate my Wheaties this week, I guess, because I did one of these, too. I swear, I'm not trying to hog the spotlight. Really. Anyway, if you'd like to see my new FanArt, Tears of Fire, you can find it on the FanArt page.
Miscellaneous: Okay, here's where I get to gush a bit, I suppose. In the past two weeks, I've received notification that my fiction, When Eternity Lies in the Balance, won an Immortal Moonlight Award in the June/July judging round for Best Angst, so thank you to whomever was so kind as to nominate the fiction. I also learned that it has been nominated in the Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered Awards in several categories. Wow! Talk about the major happies. And, not to be overlooked, Haunt of the House has been nominated in the Immortal Moonlight Awards this judging round, as well. If I find out who is responsible for the nominations, they've got a truckload of hugs and puppies coming their way!
I also wanted to call attention to something I've very, very pleased with. Eternal Balance now has a Sister Site. Redd Summer's Vampyr Dust is an incredible fanfiction archive with high quality graphics and design, so I'm thrilled to be affiliated with it in any way. Not only that, but Redd is one of the coolest people you'd ever meet, so this is a doubly good day for me. Please visit her site, I think you'll really enjoy what you see and read. Not only did she make the affiliation button that is just below, but she also sent me a new banner for Eternal Balance, just because. Thank you, Redd. You're the best!
Coming Soon: I'm still working on bringing new pages to Eternal Balance, as well as updating the site with a nifty new look. Unfortunately, it's taking longer than I'd originally anticipated, but it is coming. Bear with me, and you'll see new things popping up all over the place...you know...one of these days. Right now, though, I'm on a quest for some new fiction, and I've had a lot of fanfic recommendations that I've got to catch up on reading. Keep those recs pouring in, so I can continue to bring you high quality reading material. Not to mention any Wallpaper and FanArt you'd like to see submitted. I'm a greedy little woman when it comes to quality material for Eternal Balance. Bring it on!
