Tricks

9/28/2000:
      Sit
Stay - sometimes for minutes at a time.
      Shake
Left-right - kind of like shake but you call out right or left and I'll give you that paw
Temptation stay - I'll sit and stay while you throw treats past me.
Search - I sit and stay while you hide treats in the room (nose level or below only!!!)
Fetch - You throw it, I chase it and bring it back
Catch - But only if you toss the ball or treat correctly.
Give - I will give the ball or toy to you on command.  Treats are mine, regardless.
11/2/2000
Balance the biscuit on my snout and don't eat it until it's okay.
Retrieve the forgotten toy - if I go out to pee and forget to bring my toy inside, remind
me and I'll run back and get it.
12/5/2000
Sit up - from a laying position I get up ....if it's not past my bedtime

1/23/2001
Laser light fetch - I chase after the light from a laser pointer.  When it's far away
and turned off, then I return to the human.  It's best with snow
since the laser point scatters making a big, red, glowing spot to chase!
Balance the biscuit deluxe - biscuits on my nose and toes and don't eat it until it's okay.

8/2001
Agility course obstacles - I can do the jump, the hoop, the tunnel, the tunnel with the cloth,
the A-frame, the elevated walk, even the see-saw and, of course,
                                              the table.
10/2001
Agility course obstacles - I can now link multiple obstacles together with no problem.  I'm
working on the weave poles.....kinda, sorta.
9/2002
Timber!  - get up in bed next to the staff.  At timber I keel over his hips so he can lay in bed
and scratch my belly and neck.   I think this trick is just an excuse for the staff to
lay and bed and listen to the radio alarlm clock for awhile.  But I won't complain.
10/2002
Agility course obstacles - I can link a couple dozen obstacles together with almost no problem
(except for a slow and confused trainer).  Weave poles are coming
along.   I can do figure 8 jumps over a jump.
11/2002
Agility jumps - This is where I continually go over and around the jump.  I'm good at this.

12/2002
Lay down on command - yes it's been a long time coming.  It's more attitude than an inability,

2/2003
Stand up on hind legs - only for a tennis ball

7/2004
Look pathetic in the heat so I get some pity ice cream

Tricks in training

Heel - apparently I'm murder on my walker's arms.
Under - go through the legs of a human
Over - go over the legs of a human  (on command, not at my discretion)

Tricks for sometime in the future

Stay seated on the back of the kayak as my executive staff chaffeurs me around the water.
Agility course wizard!!  Is this a trick?  Who cares!  I'm counting it as one.
Play dead - without the snoring part ;-)
Roll over
Fetch a tissue
