Frequently asked questions about David El Poeta's flamenco guitar classes

Q. How are the classes organized?

A. Classes are private one-to-one. Lessons are two hours and they run from Monday to Friday. Lessons are adjusted to the student's level, and prepared according to their experience. Beginners are welcome.

Q. How much does it cost?

A. As soon as you have made it clear how long you would like to study and when, you will receive a reply with availability, prices and other information.

Q. What's the cost of living in Southern Spain?

A. Quite low. Essentials like accommodation and food are cheap compared to most other european countries.

Q. What will I learn?

A. Beginners learn the fundamental styles of flamenco guitar, with emphasis on correct technique and rhythm. Intermediate and advanced players develop their existing skills, work on expression, and will learn new material. Whatever the student's level, they will go away each day with something new to play.

Q. Do I need to speak Spanish?

A. No. Classes are given in English, Spanish, or French.

Q. Do you help with accommodation during my flamenco guitar course?

A. Yes. There are hostals, hotels and self-catering apartments located in the centre of Jerez that can be arranged on your request.

Q. Where can I get a good flamenco guitar while I am in Spain?

A. If you want to buy a flamenco guitar, just ask. There are several excellent makers in the region, and prices are lower than outside Spain.

Q. I want to book some lessons. How do I do it?

A. A deposit is required to firmly reserve your place. Then that time slot of 2 hours per day is yours and no other students will be accepted for that time slot. Credit cards are accepted. For details, visit the payment page.
