| We are a small kennel located approx. 30 mins North of Jacksonville, Fl. We are dedicated to promoting the positive image of the American Pit Bull Terrier and educating the public on the wonderful qualities of this breed. Our dogs are family to us. Our bloodlines consists of Boyles, Shorty Cowboy, Redman and Jeep to name a few. Our dogs are bred for Great temperment, beauty, intelligence and companionship. These dogs are people dogs and love to be with people as much as they possibly can. We expect buyers of our puppies to provide the same kind of loving home that we would provide for our dogs. We believe that the American Pit Bull terrier is a wonderful, loyal and loving breed with an unfair, horribly bad reputation. Until the world has a better attitude towards animals, we, the responsible owners will continually suffer the prejudices caused by the acts of the uneducated, irresponsible and sometimes downright ignorant pet owners. So please, Be a responsible pet owner no matter what your pet is. Here at Big Dog Kennels, we do not breed, use or sell our dogs/puppies for illegal activities. | Media and the PIT BULL Part of the reson Pit Bulls have a bad name is because the media and uninformed people will put the blame on Pit bulls just because the dog in question is short haired and has a big head. Many times Pit Bulls have been accused when the dog in question is not a Pit Bull because it sells newspapers. How possible is it to confuse a Pit Bull and another Breed? |

| Training and Socializing your puppy is very important to the safety and well being of not only your puppy, but also the safety and well being of the people and animals around you. | Help Stop BSL- Breed Specific Legislation - These are laws designed to control our dogs. Some cities, states and countries have completely BANNED Pit Bulls. Others have extreme laws reguarding this breed such as your dogs must be spayed or neutered, temperment tested, registered with the city like a criminal and muzzeled in public just to name s few. This is something that involves almost every breed of dog that is medium or above in size and has muscle. Not just Pit Bulls! Everyone must work together in order for the prejudices against our dogs will end. Not only are these laws unfair and prejudice, but it doesn't affect irresponsible dog owners. They will just keep on using these dogs as they see fit or move on to another breed. Then, the responsible owners who try to do what it right will continue to be punished for what the irresponsible and ignorant dog owners do. Do you know how your Town/ City/ State / Country feels about BSL??? This is something we need to be educated about and help educate others also. The link below has printable letters in which you can add your information, print and then mail to your nearby Government Officials. make sure that they know that BSL is wrong! It is a horrible prejudice! No matter what breed of dog you like, ALL dog owners will be affected in some way by BSL! |
