Freewebs, Tripod, Geocities, Angelfire, etc. are all websites that make creating a personal website free of charge and easy (mainly freewebs and tripod are easy considering if you can make a site on geocities at least i shows you understand html, unless you upload all of your pages). I think it's about time to get rid of all these sites that make building your website so damn easily available to every moron who feels like pasting themselves all over the internet.
The personal websites usually go like this:
The background is either just one color, or it's a barrage of weird pictures that make the font style and color next to unreadable. There is usually background music that almost blows your eardrums out without you being ready to take it, but not all the time. All of the links (with the exception of the guestbook) don't have a link of their own in it because the websites that sponser your personal page are too damn cheap to give you more bandwidth than you have.
I'll wrap this article up with a little story. Someone I knew (I wouldn't consider her a friend considering she's a major manipulative bitch) told me that they have a personal website that had been up for only two months. She told me how many hits her site has had since it was up, which to my surprise was three times as many as mine had (mind you this was six or seven months after I first made my site). Bullshit. There's no way her website could have had more hits than mine had, no way. It was obvious she was lying considering who the hell would even want to go to her site? She's a bitch. Adding to this she told me that some guy kept coming to her site over and over again every day to see what new and amazing stories she added to her journal because he enjoyed reading about her life and the tragedies she faced. What?! Tragedies? Bullshit. She's the whiney spoiled daughter of a $75,000 a year military father who gives her everything she wants for free. She has a boyfriend (who I must say looks like a monkey, who's pictures belond on rotten.com), she had her liscence the day she turned 16, her dad lets her use their car all the time (wouldn't be surprised if he gave it to her), you go out all the time with friends, you don't need a job considering your dad makes over twice as much money as my dad makes, etc. Yeah, real tragic my ass. What's so tragic about your life? The fact that your idiot boyfriend of two years (my now ex best friend) dumped you? As far as I can remember, it took you two days before you finally got a new boyfriend, you broke up with him three times before the two of you finally called it quits, you treated him like shit, got mad at him for the stupidest things, etc. This guy who goes to your site to read the amazing darkness that is your mind and soul must have all the personality of a brick. You're an idiot, he's an idiot, you're all idiots. Eat me.
