| The Crow: City of Angels Site: TheCrow.com Starring: Brandon Lee Synopsis: A young man and his wife are brutally murdered in their own apartment. Before his death, the man is forced to watch as his wife is raped and beaten in front him before an explosion ends it all. A Crow then carries the man's vengance seeking soul back into the world of the living in order for him to take revenge on those who destroyed his life. Review: The Crow is an awesome visual masterpiece that ushered an era of dark, brooding movies. The atmosphere of the Crow is unlike any other film of its time and sucks you in. While most movies' violence and disturbing images are just eye candy, The Crow uses both to further its story and causes the viewer to feel the pain and sorrow that the title character feels. The movie's bitter sweet ending is fitting not only for the end of the movie, but also as a last goodbye to Brandon Lee who died while filming the movie's original ending. Rating: 8/10 More Like This: The Crow, The Crow: Salvation, and the Crow: Stairway to Heaven |
