| Scooby Doo and the Alien Invaders Site: www.scoobydoo.com Starring: Scoopy, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne, and Freddy :-) Synopsis: Scooby and the Gang run into aliens on a visit to Roswell. Are they real or fakes. Review: Ru-Ro, Shaggy, this movie is classic Scooby. Okay, bad impressions aside, this movie is classic Scooby, which is good and bad. The first Scooby movie, Escape from Zombie Island, tried to break the old mold and introduced some new, more mature things to the series and was fun and interesting, always playing on its self. This movie reverts back to old school Scooby right down to the corny jokes with the once funny line of Scooby saying "where, where?" whenever refered to as a dog getting tiresome. I also miss the rock version of the Scooby theme that was presented in the earlier two movies (each by different artists) with the new, country music theme sucking. However, after all that negative writing, I do have to admit that as a Scooby-phile I did enjoy the movie and it won't disappoint fans, especially the little twists and turns and classic ending. Great movie for kids and those of us who will never grow to old for a scooby snack. Ro-Reah!! Rating: 7/10 DVD: The DVD is a nice for a direct to video movie but doesn't really have a whole lot. Rating: 5/10 (remember, this is for the DVD content not the movie!!) More Like This: Anything Scooby!! |
