| The Crow: Salvation Site: www.thecrow.com Starring: Kirsten Dunst and Eric Mabius Synopsis: A 20 year old man is wrongly convicted and executed for the murder of his girlfriend. Seeking revenge against those who wronged him he returns as the latest incarnation of The Crow Review: The latest incarnation of the Crow franchise is a fitting sequel to the original movie. While the lack of budget is apparent at times, the movies is a great, dark story of love and death. Then again, that's the common bound between each movie. The movie does get slow at points and for some odd reason there are scenes of daylight here and there, something really uncharacteristic for a Crow project. The movie, however, is really entertaining. It comes off as an amalgamation of the original and Dee Snyders Strange Land. Surprisingly, the combo pulls it off. It should be noted, however, that the film doesn't have the strong gothic over tones of the first two and is much slower in pace and focus more on who did what aspect than the "let's kick ass" aspect. Overall though, a great movie with a great story and cast! Rating: 7/10 More Like This: Crow, Crow: City of Angels |
