| Title: Bring it On Site: N/A Starring: Kirsten Dunst and Eliza Dushku Synopsis: The Captain of a championship cheerleading squad discovers that the previous captain got all of the cheers from an inner city school. Review: This movie should have sucked....big time. But it didn't. Bring it on is funny and whitty, and actually has a plot that makes sense. The comedy often comes from the tongue in cheek seriousness of Dunst's character. And, oh yeah, you get plenty of really hot women in cheerleading out-fits, including former vampire slayer Faith...er, I mean Eliza Dushku. Sorry, I couldn't go through this whole review without mentioning that. Back to the serious stuff, the movie is great and has a great plot and real (ie not slapstick) humor. Plus guys and gals can all get into it because of one thing or another. Rating: 8/10 DVD: Great DVD. The deleted scenes are nice and show a plot line that was completely removed along with 3 alternate endings. There are also extended scenes, a director commentary, home video footage of the car wash scene (thank you god) and even a Pop of Video style option you can turn on. The picture is also a clean crisp transfer and the audio is good too. Rating: 8/10 (remember, this is for the DVD content not the movie!!) More Like This: Coyote Ugly, anything by Hughes, Clueless |
