Review:
If you saw the preview for this movie and thought it looked stupid...well, you weren't far off.  Angels is a movie that tries it's best to be entertaining on both the comedic and action fronts.  Action they do alright on, the comedy, on the other hand, well, its hit and miss.  In terms of action, this movie takes almost every possible scene and tries to make it look like something out of the Matrix, right down to a scene involving a slow motion bullet.  Thankfully, while this is a ripoff of another movie, these scenes are a lot of fun and really help move the movie along.  In fact, the movie is paced so that there's a least one fight scene every few minutes which, for some reason, works extremely well with this movie.  Unfortunately, the comedy isn't as lucky.  While there are some truely funny moments in the film, others fall flat.  Likewise, this movie could have done without Bill Murray.  While he is funny at times, certain scenes are drug out way to long just so we can see Murray attempt to be funny.  Likewise, the idiocy of Diaz's character is beyond me.  If she were this dumb in real life then she'd be dead by now because she would have forgotten to breath.  Otherwise though, the characters are fun and the story isn't half bad, though you can quickly see where a twist will happen with little effort.  Overall, a half descent movie whose fight scenes make it into a good movie.  However, I should also add that for some reason I did really enjoy this movie.  I have no clue why, but I did.  Go figure.

Rating: 6/10

DVD Review:
Good transfer and great sound.  Unfortunatly I haven't got to play with the features a lot so for now the DVD will get a N/A for a rating.

Rating: N/A
(remember, this is for the DVD content not the movie!!)
