Dead Poetic
Songs of lost hope and found faith is Dead Poetic. Beginning in 1997, DP has been rocking the scene up and down ever since. They are original, creative, and complete ear candy for fans of indie rock, hardcore, and alternative music.
Pillar
Pillar is a rock group that puts out their own type of sound. They have everything from hard rock to hip-hop style tracks. On their latest album, Fireproof, they stretch the boundary further than ever. The title track, "Fireproof", rocked radio at #1 on the Christian charts for 11 straight weeks. Their next single, "Echelon", my personal favorite song on the new album, was released on August 5, 2002. Their nexr single "A Shame", came mid-February. Be on the lookout.
Well, people, Pillar is moving into the mainstream signing with MCA/Geffen Records and I couldn't be more excited. The remixed, rereleased Fireproof is off the wall amazing. Tracks have been redone and remastered for an unbelieveable sound. Look for "Fireproof" on your local rock station soon. Are you Fireproof?
38th Parallel
This is 38th Parallel. They've been around since 1997. They are my new best friends, they just don't know that yet. They have the sound that I have been long searching for. All elements are in check. They have the hard rock base with the occasional rap and lots of harmony. String arrangements bring this album to another level for me. Challenging lyrics round out this musical perfection. The first single "Horizon", off their debut album "Turn The Tides" hit radio not too long ago and is going strong. Tell everyone you know about 38th Parallel. Also, they have been nominated for a Dove Award for Best Rock Album. I just got word that they area planning another album hoping to be released in January of 2004.
The Starting Line
Emo-punk at it's best in my opinion. One of the many great bands on the Drive-Thru Record label has now moved to Geffen. I'm noticing a trend here. Soon I may have to buy stock in Geffen Records.
Armor for Sleep
Here is the master list. The bands you want to know, but may not know for one reason or another. Some of the groups are pretty well-known. Others, however, not so much.
