| Someone told me that I like to express myself with music. And she is quite correct. Music, different genres of music, tell somthing of myself. Whether it be punk or celtic, heavy metal, or instrumental. I like it all. All but American country. American country just sucks. When I hear it, I want to hit myself and vandalise property. Anything else is tolerable. I listen to alternative, classic rock, celtc (Scottish), gaelic (Irish), instrumental, classic country, 50's, 60's, 70,s, heavy metal, acid rap, and probably ten other genres that I am forgetting about. I tend to listen to Vanessa Carlton. Its a light instrumental with her voice which on can listen to peacefully. NOFX is probably the best punk band around. The Chieftains play Irish folk music with find detail. Elvis, the Temptations, and the Archies, symbolise the American 1950's. There is somthing that I like with the Sex Pistols from the United Kingdom. Especially God Save the Queen and Anarchy in the UK. And celtic bagpipes just rock. When played right, they can be quite peaceful or quite moving as well as irritating. The Dropkick Murphes just kick ass. Blend of Celtic and punk. What else could you ask for? And the Fields of Athenry. I just love that traditional celtic song. Music in many forms cultivates one's own perception of realilty as with fantasy. Stimulates the imagination. Motivates one's actions, in reality as well as fantasy. Makes a dreamworld of thought and what could be and what is to be. In my opinion. |
