| TEST YOURSELF ON SCORING WRITING PAPERS through the Online Interactive Training System |
|||||||||||||||||
| I believe it is a great assest for students to be able to know and understand the expectations that will be placed on them when they take the 4th grade writing test. It is for this reason, that I offer each student and parent the opportunity to become more familiar with what will be expected of them. At the bottom of this page, you will find a link to the prompt, the content rubric, the conventions rubric, and a page showing examples of convention errors. Most of these were provided in the packet on Monday. |

| Before starting, you may want to read over some suggestions that I have created that may help deciding what score to give each paper. Click here. | |||||||||||||||||
| When you are ready to begin testing yourself, click here. Please remember to write down, on your handout, what you think each content and convention score will be before you enter them into the computer. As soon as you enter the scores and click submit, the computer will immediately take you to a page informing you of the actual score. Whether you're correct or not, please leave your first scores the same. |

| This page shows examples of errors they will consider to be significant mistakes that might bring down a conventions score. Please look over this to become more familiar with these types of errors. Click here. | |||||||||||||||||
| You also need to be familiar with the conventions rubric. Click here for that. Remember, each paper will also receive a convention score or either a 0, 1, or 2. | |||||||||||||||||
