| Using Word Clues in Writing |

| The students have been working on developing their ability to use suspense in their writing as a way to keep the reader's interest. There are a few strategies such as raising story questions, the magic-of-three, and using word clues. I hope you will be able to see how each student gave clues about their animal by mentioning certain characteristics that allowed you, the reader, to predict the animal beforehand. Although at times, suspenseful writing will keep you guessing until the last possible moment. Enjoy! | ||||||||
