There, sitting on a wooden pedestal, shining in the mysterious beam of light, sat an amazing crown. My eye was drawn to the red jewels around the rim and green crystals at the tip of each point. The large crown must have belonged to a big man with a lot of hair. The golden finish glimmered in the light, and I shivered when I realized what it must be worth. I supposed that it must be very old--hundreds of years old, at least. As I ran my hand along the rim, I was suprised at its smooth finish, but the points felt as bumpy and rough as the arms of a starfish. The bumps, dents, and scratches all over the crown made me think it had been through many battles. I lifted it off the pedestal and was surprised at how heavy it was. Perhaps long ago it had belonged to King Arthur himself!
