| With all the snow and ice, January seemed to fly by rather quickly. It was difficult for the students and I to get back into the daily work routine. Hopefully for this season, the bad weather is behind us. | |||||||||||||||

| Unfortunately, I am disappointed to announce that last month we only had 82% of the students obtaining their monthly goal. Due to the weather, I gave everyone an extra week, but we still had our lowest class performance for the year. I am positive that we can once again reach our high-achieving performance level with just a little more attention given to this matter. It seems that the majority of the students have just lost focus. It is my hope that we can all turn this around. A special congratulations to the following students for their accomplishments this past month. Over-the-Top Kaitlyn S. Natalie Please remind your child that by February 27, they will need to have 100 points. |

| 4th Grade Parents Writing Workshop The 4th grade teachers will hold a parent workshop on Monday, Feb. 9 at 7:30 in the multipurpose room to pass along information and helpful materials that can be beneficial to you and your child as we all prepare for the State Writing Test on March 2. On Tuesday February 10, our school has been selected to participate in a statewide writing field test. Our 4th grade students will take this writing field test. However, I have tried to encourage the students to think of this as a warm up or a practice. They should not be nervous or uptight since the results will not be released. |
