One mistake in my life that I would like to take back took place in a bowling alley. I was in the 5th grade, and I was bowling my second game of the evening as my mom was bowling a few lanes away in her league. I finished the game and was adding up my score when I soon became frustrated because my score was not as high as I thought it should be. Angrily, I stood up and went to grab my bowling ball off the ball return, but I didnt see it. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw an older teenager throwing my bowling ball up in the air like it was a beach ball. I quickly reached out for it, but just as I did, the teenager threw my bowling ball back up into the air and BANG!

He knocked my two front teeth out! I was stunned, as I searched the ground for my teeth. They must have been crushed into tiny pieces because I never found even the smallest piece of tooth. Although I didnt cry, as I never really felt any pain, I became full of grief. I had to go show my mother. I slowly made my way to her, with my hand over my mouth, thinking of all the excuses I could come up with that could justify not having my two front teeth. But, none came to me. I simply told her the truth as she sighed and told me, I hope youre ready to see the dentist.

A few days later, I had new fake teeth in my mouth to replace the ones that were knocked out. Thinking back on it, I have always regretted getting upset over a silly bowling score, and the one mistake I would like to take back is reaching for my bowling ball. Then maybe, just maybe, I would have my real two front teeth.

Dear Mr. Aten,
I think your story is great! I like going bowling too. Your story has a lot of information and has no spelling mistakes. I have been bowling 10 times in my life. The best thing I like about bowling is when you get strikes. Your story is the perfect length and is very cool. Sorry about your teeth.

Mr. Aten,
Where is your favorite place to go bowling? My favorite place is Pin Station in Hickory.

Davin, thank you for your reponse. Getting a strike in bowling is really cool. I also like to bowl at Pin Station.           Mr. Aten
I thought that big BANG must have hurt your mouth a lot! You must have lost your head when you saw how many points you had. When you saw that kid with your ball, you must have been mad. I'm glad you told the truth when you walked all the way down to your mom.

It is amazing, but it did not hurt at all. I admit, I was a little upset at the older boy, but maybe if I didn't get upset than I would still have my front teeth.
