"Summer Is Endless. Family Is Forever "
Two brothers are about to experience a summer they will never forget. Life hasn't been easy for Skeet (Jeremy Sumpter) and Randy (Eric Christian Olsen) since their dad died. With mom Jessica (Stacy Edwards) working, it's often up to older brother Randy to take care of 12-year-old Skeet, hardly the image for a hardcore surfer. But as long as Skeet behaves, Randy lets him tag along with him and his buddies Willy (Giuseppe Andrews), David (Archie Kao) and Zach (Lukas Behnken). Each of the friends has their own troubles to deal with, including a threat by Willy's father to ship him off to the marines. All their worries disappear as soon as they hit the beaches of Southern California for those long, glorious summer days of surfing. When a gang of hoodlum surfers steal their boards and try to move in on their home break, a bitter rivalry erupts. The battle only intensifies when the sexy Samantha (Shelby Fenner) turns down the gang's leader, Da Cat (Chaka Forman), in favor of Randy. At the Dobson home, another sort of rivalry is brewing. While hanging out at the beach, Skeet meets legendary surfer Jim Wesley (Mark Harmon). Retired from the world of competitive surfing after losing his wife and child in a car accident, Jim takes the young boy under his wing and subsequently strikes up a relationship with Randy and Skeet's single mom. Randy becomes jealous of Jim's increasing influence on Skeet and is not thrilled to see the developing relationship with Jessica. As Jim struggles to overcome his own personal pain and forge a relationship with Skeet and his family, the young boy is torn over the conflict between his brother and his newfound mentor. ~ Yahoo!
