MK Army Thing .20
-------------------------------------------------------------

This is a relatively simple program to use to keep track of your MK armies/collection.

You need the VB 6.0 runtime file (which you probably have).

Anyway, just double click on the name of a figure to add it to your total. Double click on the total to decrease it by 1. Type in a name in the collection (or army) text box, and hit save to save. Army/Collection files are interchangeable. Hit load, and it should give you a list of save files to load (double click to load).

Anyway, besides just tracking the number of figures, it can also roughly* value your collection if you get the pricelist from...

http://www.magictraders.com/pricelists/current-mageknight

Simply save it as a text file into the same directory as this program.

You might have to do some reformating of the file, it used to be fairly orderly, but lately they've been having some problems, like putting two figures on the same line. Basically, just make sure each like looks like

Homer (LE), 70.50, 5.91, 74.67, 83.00, 70.00, -0.00, 3

Problems
----------------------------------

The price guide doesn't always seem to work - I'm not sure if my list of the figures has the same exact name for all the figures as the price guide list.

The scrolling isn't always smooth. Especially if you use the mouse wheel to scroll through one scroll bar.

I don't have all the MK figures in my data file - I am missing some of the Limited Editions (and have incomplete data for those I do) and Dragons/Vehicles (I used the info from their web site)

------------------------------------
Installing
------------------------------------

Pretty simple, just put all the files in a folder, and run the .exe

-----------------------------------
Data Files
-----------------------------------
The data file is actually just a text file. The format is pretty obvious, in fact, it's
almost straight from WK's website, with 1 addition (the Weak/Standard/Tough/Unique), and with commas.

MKarm.txt if you want to alter it.

.20 Added printing collection to HTML. Added datefiles for Unlimited, Sinister, and Treasure Chests for Dungeons.

.10b I haven't actually altered the code from .10, but the .10b release has a larger datafile,
hopefully including all the Rebellion, Lancers, Whirlwind, and now Dungeons figures. It still doesn't have the big items (Dragons, chariots, tanks), and no treasure chests yet.

.10 Original Release

* It's apparently compiled by prices on Ebay. Unfortunately, they didn't use a lot of data for the prices of common figures, so the prices of many common figures are way, way, way off. Most common figures seem to be about 50 cents or so. If I had the ambition, I should probably make a better price list for the commons
