. The O'Brien operates her Triple-Expansion Steam Engine dockside on one weekend per month, with the exceptions of May (when we cruise) and December. These are special weekends, and afford the public a chance to see the engine (oil fired), the galley stove (coal fired), and regular maintenance on deck. Steaming Weekends are usually the third weekend of the month, but may be cancelled due to other events.
