I am Twenty-Seven years young. If you ever want to send me a gift, my birthday is that of "de jour Bastille", which was the start of the French Independence. Them French people... backwards...breaking into a jail. (To think most try to break out) |

Though native of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, my lovely southern accent would most likely tell you different. Might be a hint of the yankeeness that truely will not leave me in my vocabulary. Though my birth place is that of Mass, most of my younger upbringing was in the beautiful green mountains of Vermont, at least up till the age of seven. |

With four feet of snow of the ground, I was then moved from Vermont to the very bottom of Mississippi. Biloxi to be exact. Talk about a culture change. Whoo hoo. No snow and a big ocean. I can't say I liked it there too much. Too many tornado warnings. Every week it seemed the schools would have tornado drills where you went into the hallways and rolled up against the wall like you were trying your damnest to kiss your ass goodbye. I learned of water moccasins there after I frighten my poor mother when she caught me playing in a creek (crik for you northern folks). I remember it being hot. Indeed, very hot. I'm surprised I didn't shed my skin. Permanently. |

After that was Georgia. Valdosta. Go Wildcats! Deep south there, I learned many other names besides my given one there. Though I never fully understood some of them. My first word of education was when I was asked if I had a "box". (big ol tape player). I said, sure, I just moved, I got plenty of 'boxes'. They should have taken me for a lost cause then. I learned why "the devil went down to Georgia," it's too damn hot there. Though being a lad of so young, bmx's and friends were more important than the humid 98+ degree weather. I learned of city zoning while I was in Georgia. Though a school was down the street, considering i lived one too many streets over, I had to take a twenty minute trip via bus to the other side of town. (aka... across the tracks). It wasn't a bad school mind you, but all the same, a school less than five mintues walking distance to a school 20 minutes via bus. Never made much sense to me. |

The same year that the Challenger exploded on it's way up to space. The nuclear melt down at Chernobyl (or in russian Tjernobyl) Reagan had Libya bombed for terrorist acts against Americans. ("They counted on America to be passive, they counted wrong") |

I was in West Germany (or at the time was known that) for the start of four years. |

I wish I was an artist or painter, where I could draw or paint all the things I've seen with my own eyes. |

I visited Berlin while it was two cities. Stood by the wall. Saw the "Mona Lisa" Climbed the stairs to the Eiffel Tower Camped in the mountains of Swizterland Toured through Italy (and had too much wine) And many other fond memories of Europe. |

I do plan to go back sometime. |

After that was back to the states, in a state that's was deemed not too hot... and not too cold by my father, North Carolina became home. |

After living in the Queen City and the one named after Sir Walter, I'm now on the coast of the State. Nice big ocean spread out to the horizon. |

I've been to all the following states: AL, AZ, CA, CT, DE, FL, GA, IN, KY, ME, MD, MA, MS, NH, NY, NJ, NC, PA, RI, SC, TN, VA, VT and WV which is exactly one less than half of the 50 states. But hey, I'm still working on it. |
