Thank you for joining us tonight for this installment of ISN. Tonight, we would like to start our coverage with an editorial by ISN Bureau Chief, Calenn. His views are his own & don't reflect the views of ISN.
Calenn: Thank you for the introduction. I would like to comment tonight on some events that was reported on ISN proper. Most specifically, comments from an EarthForce Admiral mentioning the scavenger mentality of some races. I don't know who he is talking about & I don't really care. What I want to comment about is the patience this Earth Alliance has for such infringements. Their restraint is almost apalling. A restraint I don't think the Minbari Federation would have shown. Let's take the Gormak for example. Who, you ask? For those really young races, a history lesson. The Gormak were a budding Galactic Empire, on the par with the Centauri in their prime. Then, they made the mistake of attacking a Minbari colony. This lead to the Gormak War and the elimination of the Gormak from the Galactic Map. So, I caution all governments to be careful who you grab worlds from, or you may find yourself to be the next Gormak by those who you would grab from. Thank You.
Thank You for that editorial, Calenn.
In other news, Minbari Government officials are becoming concerned by the tensions mounting in the galaxy. From the growing hostility between the Hyach & the Vree to Raider attacks at Lotna. A comment from Warleader Jack'l of Minbari Fleet Command:
"The Minbari People should feel secure that Fleet Command is doing all it can to make sure that any conflicts out there don't affect the people of the Minbari Federation. Indeed, all these conflicts are taking place across the galaxy from us, far from the Federation."
Foreign Minister Talek had this to add:
"We have good relations with all our neighbors & the Minbari People should feel secure that they are safe. In addition, we like to send our compliments to the Alacans/Balosians & the Abbai for taking first steps towards making a peace accord in their part of the galaxy, thus perhaps setting an example for the rest of us to follow."
