Thomas Welles b. Jan 10, 1620 in Colchester, Evesham, Worchestershire, England. d. Sept 30, 1676 in Hadley, Hampshire Co. Mass., He was buried in Col., England. He was married 3 times, 1, Frances, b. in Wetherfield, 2, Elizabeth Deming 1646 in Wethersfield, Hartford, Conn., daughter of Jonathan Deming and Elizabeth Gilbert. ,3, Mary Beardsley, May 1, 1651, in Hartford, Connectcut, daughter of William Beardsley and Mary Harvey.

Noah b. 1666, married Mary Crow White. They live in Colchester, New London, Connecticut. The had 7 children,

one by the name Noah,b. 1686, who married  Sarah Wyatt, who was also from Colchester, Ct. They had 10 children and She was the daughter of Israle Wyatt and Sarah Pratt

He also named his son Noah, b. 1718, in Colchester, CT.  This Noah married Abagail Woolsey. She was the daughter of Benjarmin Woolsey and Abagail Taylor. They moved to Stamford, CT. and had 13 children.

Next came Benjamin Franklin Welles, who married Sarah Nelson, and they moved to Kinderhook, New York, Her family was Joshua Nelson and Sarah Mandeville They had 10 Children.

Than came along
William Edwin Welles,  who married Harriet Prentice. They moved to Marengo, Mich.  Harriet's family was John Prentice and Martha Bridge. They had 13 children.

One of which was John Cleveland Welles,b. 1840 and who married Marietta Cornelia Bishop. Marietta's parents are George Bishop and Mary Marshall. She had problems in child birth and lost 2 sons, than came alone Minna Hale, a sweet little girl. Next came Edith Anna Louise Welles b. 1878 and than William Bishop Welles.

I was one of the lucky ones, I knew Edith Anna Louise Welles, she was my Great Grandmother. All of the pictures you see were past down to her and than to her daughter, my Grandmother, Dorothy Marietta Dickinson and than my Mother, Dorothy JoAnn Davidson, and than me.
