<---Benjamin Franklin Welles, b. 1756 in Stamford, CT, married Sarah Nelson. His Lineage is entitled to belong to the 'Daughters and Sons of the American Revolution. He was a Doctor in the American Revolution, acting surgeon's mate and Chaplain.
Nancy (Fitch) Bishop b.1785, married Clement Bishop II, b.1782, in New London, CT. The Bishops came to America Abt. 1679, from the Isle of Jersey, Great Britian and settled in  New London, CT.                                         ----->

Edith Anna Louise Welles, b.1878 in Marshall Mich., was my G. Grandmother, who I knew very well. She married Clark Dickinson in 1904. The Dickinson Ancestry dates back to one of the earliest settlers in America. John Dickinson b.1602 in England and Elizabeth Howland b.1625 in Plymouth, Mass. Elizabeth's family came to America on the 'Mayflower.
Will Welles, my G. Uncle, was born 1875, married: Stella Murdock. They had one child, Marion. Will was the Postmaster of Marshall, Mich.
Minna Welles, my G. Aunt, was born 1875. She lost her love in the war and never married. She was a school teacher and truly cared for her students.

Bishoppe, Eleazer  b. 1685 in the Channel Islands, came to America when he was          7 in 1692 , he was kidnapped by a captain of a British Ship and arrived in New London. Richard Dart, a tailor found favor with the boy and paid with a yoke and oxen, for his passage and took him into his family and raised him. Later Richard Dart's daughter Sarah and Eleazer Bishoppe  married.
