| Mona's Hubby | |||||||||||||
| These pics require some explaining..... So my sis and I drive a 1990ish Dodge Spirit (seen in background) We affectionately call her Mona, because when she is cold and you try to turn the wheel, she moans.It is humorous, trust me. Now one day Erin and I were on an adventure while I was home for winter break 2003. Well, we are in a parking lot and I notice that the hubcap is missing. We drove around for an hour looking for it, retracing all the places we had been that day. No luck in finding Mona's lost hubby. |

| So here we are driving around town in the car, with paint chipping off the hood and a missing hubcap..if you're gonna go, go in style, right? A few days later our dad is driving and sees a hubcap on the side of the road, he gets out to inspect it, but alas, it is not Mona's hubby. He leaves it on the side of the road. A few evenings later, we are hanging out with some friends. We convince them to help us search for Mona's hubby. Again we drive around for a while, and to no avail. Finally Erin calls dad from her walkabout phone, and we learn of the location of the hubcap dad found. We decided it was close enough to Mona's other hubcaps, so we took it. So, if you are ever in SE Minnesota, and see a car with a mismatched hubcap, with a whining steering wheel...be sure to say hello. * Editor's note:Sadly, Mona has since retired. Current whereabouts unknown, but still has mismatched hubcap. |
