Early construction of the lower carriage portion of the tower.  From the ground, the height to the top of the carriage is 12 feet.

Attaching the wheels to the carriage
One wall for the next two floors is raised and attached to the top of the carriage.  Height to the top is now 28 feet.
Once the walls were raised and attached, ramps were added. 
The final floor was added and  the drawbridge was attached and raised.  The height of the top floor is now 36 feet and the handrail around the top is at 40 feet.

Cladding is added to simulate the hides that would be used as armor.
