September

Saturday 29th This time last year I was in New York

So much has happened in this last year hasn't it....

Today has been so productive for me - after months of sitting at a desk with NO leg room what-so-ever and sitting on a chair with no back support what-so-ever, I finally took the plunge, disconnected everything and brought in a bigger table from the garage. My kind dad donated my favourite computer chair from his study so I am now sitting in a re-arranged room with sacred SPACE! I was a little worried about the whole disconnection process - but everything seems to be working again ok(apart from my monitor which flickers every now and then for good measure!)

Saturday 22nd I cannot believe that I have not updated this for a week - it's not like I've been busy doing other stuff or anything. I have spent most of today trawling through the NET checking out other sites and links - I found some cool things and I downloaded some free fonts. I got a call from Smeg last night at 11.40pm - she needed a lift to a club, so I dutifully agreed to help her out. . .wearing my pumpkin pyjamas!

pumpkin pyjamas rule!

I love Halloween (just in case you hadn't realised) and as today is the Autumnal Equinox, I see no reason why I shouldn't be wearing my incredibly cool and groovy pumpkin pyjamas. . .

Sunday 16th I spent too much of my day defragmenting my hard drive. There are 'errors' which meant that it was crashing while I was using scan disc...I feel as if I am still so new at this computer game...but in reality I've been using computers for the past 19 years.

I also spent (literally) hours trying to get connected to the AOL and in turn the "NET" so that I could update this - so "hello", urm what now?

I have decided that it is not to early to wear my halloween pumpkin pyjamas - bought last year in New York....

I have to announce, sadly, that Mr.Brown is an ex-hamster.

RIP Mr Brown

He went up to hamster heaven last Sunday

Saturday 15th Bought vegetables from the farm shop. Went to Starbucks with Smeg for a 90 minute cup of coffee. In the evening we watched the first two episodes of 'cold feet' - I'd never seen it before, and after the heartache of the past few days, it was welcome escapism...

My birthday happened for 6 hours in France - then we switched on the news. . .

Tuesday 11th September 2001

Wednesday 5th I went to the 'Open Air Museum' at Singleton today to bask in the warm September sunshine. Lots of fun was had by all (especially when two of the children that I took found a water pump and a big muddy puddle).

I am on vacation as of now - cool huh! See you next week....

Tuesday 4th The weather is changing - a cool breeze in the air is welcoming the autumn. I had to take the sun umbrellas and gazeebo down this afternoon as the wind was whipping under them, trying to lift them up up and away... I have one day to go until I fly off to France - believe it or not this will be the first time I have actually flown to France, I normally drive there(which is lots of fun). There's just one week until my birthday - I'll be in the French Alps if you can't find me!

Saturday 1st

And so we head into autumn, my favourite time of the year. I love the clear crisp autumn days and the sound of crunching leaves under foot. . .

I have TWO parties to attend this evening! One is celebrating a 50th birthday and the other is celebrating a 30th birthday! For one I have to wear 'Middle Eastern' clothing befitting the Bedouin tent that it's being held in, and for the other I have to wear jeans(it's a spit and saw dust affair). I think the only option is a quick change of clothes between venues.

Ma and Pa left this morning - and I now have 5 days peace and quiet before I fly off with my sisters to join them! They are going to stay with friends 'en route' to Megeve.
