It's vaction time in JEN world. I am off to the French Alps, to sunny Megeve in fact. It is only a quick break away - but anything is better than nothing. . .and it's FREE (my favourite kind of holiday)! Happy Halloween.

The weather has been particularly wet and windy this week - the side fence in our garden blew down in the night! Today it is sunny, but still rather windy - the wind chimes and windmills in the garden are blowing all around. I opened a window in my roof room and it seems to have stopped the draught. . .or perhaps the wind has dropped? Whatever.

It was a beautiful sunny day today! We went to West Dean Gardens for their annual 'Apple Affair'. We looked at, tasted and adored many apples - I especially liked the taste of the 'Marie Elise'. I think that is what it was called. I'll check. We also visited the Pumpkin House at Slindon - So many pumpkins!!!

We've had fantastic sunny autumn weather for weeks, yesterday we walked along the beach and ate lunch outside in the sunshine. . .but today we have rain. Today is our sponsored walk around the park - we are going to get so wet. Thank goodness I bought a raincoat just a couple of weeks ago!
James, Viv and Alex are here. . .Alex brought NZ candy - what a good boy!
Well, in JENworld it is tuesday night - but I can't argue with Greenwich Mean Time. . .or the calendar. So 1.08am Wednesday it is!
I had a wonderful time in Brighton on Sunday - I met up with two hotties (hello blair & lucas) and enjoyed myself so much. It made me feel 29 again!!! It came as such a welcome relief after 3 shitty weeks of feeling ill almost all the time. Now I feel full of energy. . .and excitement because my cousin James is coming to stay with Viv and baby Alex! (and, just for the record, I still think that Liz should stow away in their suitcase)! Only a few days to go now. . .
I'm officially feeling better - and I 'just' have one more day of nasty, nasty antibiotics left. Yeah!
I am really looking forward to Friday - my cousin and his little family are coming to stay!!! There is much tidying of rooms, and moving of furniture - I took some photos (see below) but I'm not sure that they quite capture the huge amount of 'stuff' that has been shifted between rooms in this hasty preparation. I can hear the hoover going again - I'm going to see what has been changed since I came here to update. . .Last time I looked there was a double bed where a single used to be, and a new shelving unit where a pile of TWENTY boxes were once stacked!
