I have been updating - you may have noticed that the journal has swapped position with 'amelie' on the front page. Those damn yahoo adverts kept getting in the way - most annoying I'm sure you'll agree, but something I have to put up with unless I fork out money. The 'amelie' photo is now a link to an amelie page. . .just because.
I had time on my hands to make these changes while waiting for my lil' sister and lovely family in NZ to join me online. . .apparently they managed to see my welcoming webcam "hello" message - then my computer crapped out and I couldn't connect to the webcam OR yahoo! Quelle nightmare.
friday 29th
we are blessed with sunshine. sunshine and light breezes. So who's 'bright' idea was it to schedule 5 hours of back to back Buffy? Were they banking on rain and a washed out good friday? I managed to drag myself away just 20 minutes ago. . .taping the final episode because I think it is just about the only episode that I have never(shock!) seen(horror!). So I have swapped one darkened room for another as I sit and type away here instead - but heck, I have the window OPEN if that's any consolation. Happy Easter.

The last working day of the week. Just a few hours and I can sit and procrastinate in peace for 4 days! Fingers crossed that the weather will be kind - I need to get a'weeding and a'digging in the garden. . .it's looking a little unloved at the moment, and those damn vegetables don't plant themselves you know!

It was a lovely sunny and warm spring day. Went with essi & lisa to the French market in Bognor. . .it wasn't really very French though - come on now - where were the croissants? and just HOW expensive was the jam! We sat on the beach and ate chips(that were covered in disgusting luminous ketchup) and I took loads of digital photos. . .which I later erased by mistake with the click of a button!!! (Sorry essi & lisa!) I am still kicking myself.
I spent time this afternoon spring cleaning and surfing for links to "That 70's show!". Really, I'm that busy!
I'm looking forward to the oscars this evening. . .or tomorrow morning real time. . .fingers crossed that, hopefully, "Amelie" will win many awards!
saturday 23rd
what a sunny day. I spent most of it inside, at a conference. Hmmmm. But heck, It's SPRING at last! The lambs are bouncing about in the fields and the sun is shining. The afternoon ended with hot chocolate and banana bread in St.Martins tea rooms (sadly no photos as I didn't take the digi-cam) with Es, Lisa and Emily.
Emily and I later drove to the beach, where we ate chips covered with salt and vinegar and talked. I managed to get a whole load of stuff off my chest, in a very short amount of time! What a load off! Many thanks Emily x

It rained in the morning - I went for a wet, muddy walk at the museum with some kids. Really DAMN muddy - they totally loved it!
wednesday 20th
I had very little sleep last night. I stayed up until past 3am looking for my sister on an Australian web cam that was focused on Sydney Harbour bridge. . .it's a long story!
. . .and here it is! Smeg and A walked over Sydney Harbour Bridge yesterday, or today, I get mixed up, what with the whole time difference thing. No, It was our today - but their yesterday. . .now.
Up until about 3.29pm today my mum was happy thinking that they had walked along a pedestrian footpath - in effect walking 'across' the bridge, like any normal person would do. At 3.30pm this afternoon I explained that no, they had walked OVER the bridge! This meant getting harnessed up, wearing protective clothing, taking off watches and anything else that might 'fall off' and then walking right over the TOP of the bridge. My mum was rather 'shocked' to say the least. . .I think that she was happier to find out the facts AFTER the event!
I can assure you that it is not something I would entertain - have you seen how big that thing is. . .and I thought going up the Empire State building was daring.
The rest of my day pales into boring insignificance in comparison! It rained. I cooked supper. yada yada yada. I'm going to bed early to make up for no sleep yesterday, or today, or whatever damn day it was, is and might be!!! I'm losing the plot - send me email for gods sake!

I took time out to be kind to myself today. I skipped off work early and went to the cinema with cinda. We saw OCEAN'S ELEVEN - it was a visual feast from beginning to end. . .I mean, GEORGE, BRAD, MATT! Do I need to say any more? Oh and the film was fantastic too!!!!
Oh yeah, and heads up to Eric from 'that 70's show' - almost unrecognisable without the 70's barnet!

I'm a little sad and a little jealous. . .my sister is going to New Zealand to visit our lovely family. I want to go too! I am also excited for her because she'll get to see it all for the first time - which is fantastic!
But it is awful being left behind here. . .I had no idea that I'd feel like this!

Yesterday ended with me feeling crappy - don't know where it came from, but it hit me while I was driving home from visiting my nana last night! But this afternoon I went for a wonderful tea and cake session in St.Martins tea rooms with wonder-full Clare and Lucy.
Much chatter and organic yummies later and I was a much, much happier person!
I came home and played with my camera. and updated here. and cleared some sacred space in my roof rooms. I'm listening to Throwing Muses, Belly, Kristen Hersh and The Breeders..and at the moment there is no better song than "Dizzy" in the whole world! I hope the sun is shining in your part of the world.
