wednesday 26th
What a HOT day! I took part in a sponsored charity event in Priory Park today - and it was so damn hot! Tomorrow I have resigned myself to the fact that I am going to the beach for the morning - I have the buckets and spades ready packed by the front door. . .whoop de doo!
This evening I went to see the Star Wars film (clones) with Benjy - everyone laughed when Yoda started jumping around! All I can say is thank goodness Jar Jar 'freaking' Binks wasn't in it too much (meesa rilly hayta that um guy)!

sunday 23rd
So, did you hear the joke about Spain having a goal disallowed in extra time, and then losing 5:4 against S.Korea in penalties?!!

SARK is wonderful I'm reading SARK's "Prosperity Pie" now.

a house (or houses? I house sit A LOT!)

2. Do you rent or own?
I rent (borrow?) the attic rooms from my parents.

3. Does anyone else live with you?
the afore mentioned parents when I am at home.
lots of animals when I am house-sitting!

4. How many times have you moved in your life?
once for real (when I was 3), but I move every few weeks to new housesitting gigs.

5. What are your plans for this weekend?
saturday: handing out free "Big Bus" CDs in an Epsom shopping center.
sunday: I've no idea! as little as possible?


wednesday 19th
I went to see "Spiderman" at UCI with Benjy. It was tr�s cool - very fast moving! I am looking forward to the sequel already.

friday 14th

halnaker windmill

Emily and I walked up to the windmill this afternoon. The view was amazing - standing on top of the hill and looking at the sea. We walked back down, and reached my car just as the rain started. Big rain, no coats!

We met Karen in town for tea and cake in St.Martins. Bliss-full. Emily busked while I looked for something to wear to my cousin Davids wedding, then we met up again - she was richer, I was poorer! We went out for an Indian meal at 5.45pm - we were the only people in the restaurant and had excellent service!!! We bought Ben & Jerry's for dessert before heading off to the beach for a (nearly)midnight walk.

The Friday Five

1. How often do you do laundry?
Once a week - or when there is enough for a load

2. What's in a typical wash load?
Clothes.

3. Front or top loader? Powder or liquid detergent?
Front loader. No detergent - I have an environmentally friendly wash ball thing.

4. Do you use fabric softener in the rinse cycle?
Nope.

5. Dryer or clothesline?
I only dry jeans and underwear in the dryer - everything else dries on the line or on the rack.


wednesday 12th
I drove to Essi & Lisa's last night with Emily - we went to see kittens. Very, very cute kittens! Oh, and Essi and Lisa too of course! We also went to Ikea - because we could. We ended up getting home LATE and to bed later, which was a bit of a mistake because. . .
. . .this morning I had to get up really EARLY to watch the England Vs Nigeria World Cup match live! It was not the most interesting match, and ended in a draw - but it means that England are through to the next round. . .and Argentina are going home. Shame!

I have my freedom after a rather stressful month of house/dogsitting

very funny I'm reading and enjoying "The nanny diaries" at the moment - I think this must be especially funny to anyone who has ever looked after 'other peoples' children!
