So. . .big brother has finished for another year and I can stop watching tv again. There were certainly no "Brian's" this year, but Alex was funny to watch!
I started this in May 2001 ~ but it's not a blog! Before this I just had a yahoo club thing.
Tales of the incredible fridge eating dog!
I've just had "Jen ~ more than you need to know".
At the moment I'm writing everything online at yahoo - but I'm trying other stuff.
I don't mind reading both.
At home, in chichester.
There are plenty of places I would like to move to - but I'm not sure that I'd rather live there...
France: Dinan in Brittany or Paris
New Zealand: Auckland of course! or near Karekare
America: New York or San Francisco
Thailand: Bangkok !
anywhere when I'm with my friends and family
well I've been right around the world, and I've visited 4 different continents. . .but I've still got a long way to catch up with smeg!
Bangkok: Wat Poh in Bangkok, Thailand to see the Reclining Buddah. It was simply amazing.
Pass me my sunglasses - I do believe it's summer!
It's been a long time coming, but yes - I hear the distant hum of a lawnmower, the gentle tweet of birds at play and the smell of a good BBQ doing it's thing. . .summer is here everyone, grab your tall drinks and straws, sun hats and deckchairs, because this might be the only fine day for the rest of the year. . . .ever the eternal optimist hey!!!
So, my town has been taken over. The otherwise sleepy 'city' (c'mon, we have a cathedral for goodness sake) is throbbing full of PEOPLE! Chichester is holding it's annual "Festivities" events (which are incredibly fine if I say so myself) as well as "The Real Ale & Jazz festival" AND the world famous "Festival of Speed" on the Goodwood estate. This of course culminates in crowds, traffic jams and, ultimately, JEN hiding at home for the weekend. I don't 'do' crowds at the best of times - hence my reason for NOT going to see Fat Boy Slim on Brighton beach tonight (even the tv coverage made me feel claustrophobic!)
I'll stop moaning now - I mean, it's got to be good for Chichester's commerce right? But I just wish "they" would all go home - I need to go shopping! :o)
boy! it was a goddam sunny today - did anyone notice? Although I took my raincoat with me, I didn't need it. . .anyone would think it's the summer.
I am looking forward to the next few weeks - school term is winding down and it looks as though it might be a fairly quiet summer work wise, but my parents are away for a few weeks, so we'll see. . .although I predict a good few afternoons a'reading and a'relaxing by the pool - the paddling pool that is!
I'm still amazed at how NICE a day it was today!
I implore you to watch SCRUBS tonight on Channel4 - it's essential viewing in our house, and I'm sure you'll thank me for giving you a heads up right at the beginning of the series. And if you hate it? . . .well whatever!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHELLY ! ! !
spent most of this wonderfully lazy sunday getting stuff together. the worst thing though is that it's now 9.30pm and I've only just got to update here. oops.
In front of my computer, waiting for 10pm so that I can watch 'The Osbournes' on MTV
A bar of chocolate that was here a minute ago. . .
The Sugarcubes 'stick around for joy' - I bought it before I actually had a cd player!
It does not embarrass me - and I am listening to it again now. Fantastic.
glittery gel pens are flavour of the month.
some incredibly tasty Morello Cherry Flavoured Fat Free Frozen Fromage Frais From Waitrose!
