Tuesday 18th
This morning I drove around to see 4 different people - and they were all out. I learnt by the 5th person and phoned ahead, good thing too as they were also out! I should have walked around the neighbourhood posting Christmas cards instead. Never mind though, it meant that I got to drive down the 'unadopted road' which the kids love - they have to "hold on tight" while the car hits the bumps and the pot holes. . .see what I have to put up with my job in the name of entertainment!
Monday 17th
I have been busy
So very busy!
I don't need to point out that there are like 8 days until Christmas do I? Chichester is full of insane people shopping as though their lives depend on it. . .I don't really have the enthusiasm to join in. I went into town this afternoon and managed to buy NOTHING but a chocolate brownie and a cappuccino when I met up with Smeg in Starbucks. The cappuccino was all fluff - I think I prefer cafe mocha.
The past couple of weeks have been filled with children's parties, carol singing and nativity services - Did I ever say how much I like my job?!! There is one more party to go to this week, a couple more nativities, a crib blessing and a midnight mass - then I'll have one whole day to 'relax' before I start House-sitting (and dog walking) on the 26th. I am sure it will be fine.
I am going to nick off now - I have to get up early in the morning!
