It's sunday. We have good, old fashioned, unpredictable April weather - rain, sun, wind, cloud and a bright blue sky. . .in any combination(at the moment it is all 5!)

saturday 27th
Had a lovely day - visiting museums, eating cake and hanging out with my friends & god daughter. I also saw the welcome return of two friends who have been in Syria for two months. Celebrated the end of "turn off your tv" week by not watching tv. I enjoy my 'turn off your tv' weekends. . .I don't think I'd cope with 'turn off your computer' weeks though!
I had further communication with Amazon - apparently my 'Amelie' order was stuffed because of a problem with 'dispatch', meaning that my order was left hanging around and ignored. . .story of my life! Apparently they are sending me a �3 gift voucher - however, I STILL haven't had confirmation that they have even sent the dvd out yet, so I'm not holding out much hope for the gift voucher!

Well, I remember making long scarves with Loose when we were in High School - wasn't exactly money 'making' though as we spent loads of money on wool, then gave the finished products away!

Have I ever said how wonderful a film Amelie is? I may have mentioned it a few million times. . .anyway, Amazon stuffed up my order - big time! I am still waiting for it to be delivered (I have complained and will be writing another stinky email to them tomorrow!) So, MANY MANY thanks to my friend P(j) who has made life in JEN world happy again with a 'lent' copy of the Amelie dvd until Amazon show up with mine! I do already have Amelie on dvd of course - but I bought it in France, where they don't do english subtitles!

A whole week has passed and what have I got to show for it? To start with, there was the return of smeg. She breezed back in to town on tuesday after an amazing adventure 'down under'. There was also the first ever "chippy tuesday". . .this involves buying chips, and eating them. The only condition being that it is a tuesday - "chippy wednesday" doesn't really work! The weather also held out all week so there were another couple of picnics and museum visits - we like picnics and museum visits!
One thing that I certainly have not got to show for the past week is my UK edition Amelie DVD. And I am pissed off. I ordered it from Amazon MONTHS ago and assumed that I would receive it a day or two after it was released. . .well it has been longer than that - and after a few emails, and apologies from Amazon I Still don't have it. Grrrrrr. . . .
. . . .and relax.

There. . .I've finsished dog/housesitting! I had a blast there - the dogs were well behaved and didn't eat the fridge. . .***flash back to May 2001!***
So, this past week has been fun - lots of fresh air and walking...and picnics
This past week has not been fun for my poor Kiwi cousin - Liz "went ice skating" and as a result has broken her right arm and chipped her left elbow! She's awaiting surgery for pins to be put in and chips to be taken out - OUCH! Please send healing and good luck wishes her way, thanks.

This next week is going to be exciting - 'the smeg returns' from Bangkok/NZ/Oz/Singapore! She and Mr.A have been away for over a month - bring on the souvenirs!!! But seriously, the best gift will be to have my little sister back home. . .(c'mon, give me a break here - I'm trying for sincerity, but it's just coming out wrong!)

An artistic day. . .which was nice. Walked the dogs along the river twice - in the sun. There are some photos of the magic cottage to look at.

So, I may not be updating quite as much this week - I'm housesitting. It's so peaceful and quiet there, bliss! I'm also trying to work on a couple of exciting projects, and some work related coursework too. Busy bee.
thursday 4th
Spent a fabulous day at the museum. The weather was amazing - very warm. . .and I was in jeans!
I am going to be housesitting for a week - the money I earn will be swallowed up straight away to pay for my overdue car service. bah. It was buffy and angel night tonight - damn fine episodes they were too. I could rave on a little longer - but I'll spare you!
