Previous Question: Do you feel that Jenny was fairly scored at her Grand Prix events this season (Trophee Lalique and NHK Trophy)?
Previous Replies:
"No, Jenny was in no way scored fairly at her GP events. I don't think she was the only person scored unfairly, but she was definitely a victim of it. It's very unfortunately the in the Grand Prix as long as one is a 'judge's favorite', no matter how one skates, one still gets good scores."
"No, I don't feel that Jenny was scored fairly at her Grand Prix events. Even the French crowd had the good sense to boo her scores at Lalique. However, this is figure skating, and the judges always make you "wait your turn". Jenny knows that, and she has a great attitude, because instead of complaining about the scores, she just looks at her own skating, and sees what she can do to get better scores."
Previous Question: Do you think that the fact Jenny hurt her hip this summer will affect her skating, even if it is just mentally?
Previous Replies:
"No. It was early in the season and it didn't bother Jenny at Keri Lotion."
"I don't think that Jen's injury will affect her this season, since based on her journals, she seemed really positive and up beat about it. And she didn't seem to have a problem with at the The Keri Lotion Classic."
"Nah, Jenny's injruy won't affect her at all this season. It certainly didn't at Keri Lotion - she was fabulous!"
"I was really worried when I heard that Jen had hurt her hip because of Tara Lipinski's past hip problems and how 'dangerous' they can be. As for effecting her skating, I really hope not! I know reports say that she is pretty much over it, but it can still reaccour and cause problems. I don't think it will effect her mentaly because she has great mentality towards figure skating, and in that case, it shouldn't bother her. I hope her injury heals to the fullest!"
Previous Question: Do you feel that there was less hype and public expectation of Jenny at Junior Worlds (than of Sasha Cohen, for instance) and Jenny skated better because of it?
Previous Replies:
"jenny won because she skated 3 awesome programs. the lack pressure may have 'cracked' sasha cohen, but i don't think it really affected jenny's skates."
"Yes, there was less pressure on Jenny than other skaters, namely Sasha Cohen; however I don't think that affected her performaces. Jenny skated 3 clean programs and she won because she deserved to."
"Jenny is a terrific skater and she won because she deserved it, triples and triple-triple and all. But, obviously being under so much pressure and having the media all over Sasha didn't help her (Sasha)."
"Nope! Sure, there wasn't the media pressure/fan pressure on her because she wasn't the center of attention at JW. 2000 (Sasha Cohen was, and apperntly that was not good for her because of how she skated, with even more added pressure with going to Senior Worlds), but i think why she did win was because she's a great skater, she was very focused, and had her mind set on skating a clean, great, and well-performed short and long programs. She delivered when it counted, and it really payed off!"
