Wissahickon JazzFest 2004!
First, use this timeline to learn about the history of Jazz in America.  Be sure to take a few notes!
Next, pick one Jazz musician to read about!
Now you can try improvising some jazz on your own.
Musical Marvels!
Today you will travel the country in search of the perfect instrument!  Visit each city's symphony to collect information.
This might seem like a huge itinerary, but take it step by step and it will be a breeze!

First, choose an instrument you would like to learn more about.  Look for a list of all the instruments in an orchestra.  Choose one you've never heard before or know very little about.

Second, find out what instrument family it belongs to.

Next, list three interesting facts about your instrument.

Last, find a recording of your instrument.  Describe the way it sounds to you!

Once you have finished, you may explore anywhere you would like within the orchestra website.  There are dozens of fun musical games to try.  If you compose your own piece, I would love to hear it!
