When a fatal accident took his brother, Albert Peyton Justice's life, he had the sad duty of staying with him until death, but gladly he took in some of Grandpa Albert's children to raise. Dr. J.I. was a name by which he was fondly known to the Hatfield family while he was serving as personal physician to William Anderson Hatfiel (AKA Devil Anse) until William's death January 21, 1921.
