| My name is Jennifer Moomaw. I have been researching my family tree since 1998. My grandmother, Lorraine Gaffke Jorgensen, actually started the research in the late 1980's. Grandma's father died when she was very young and she wanted to buy a head stone for his gravesite. She did not know anything about him or his family. This launched the research on the Gaffke and Zelewski families. Her daughters, Patricia and Dorothy assisted her. Six years ago, I started where they left off, futhering their research. Over the last couple of years, I increased my research to include all the other branches including my paternal side. Most of my research has been conducted from the internet using State and Federal Records. I obtained information from Ancestry.Com, Latter Day Saints, and RootsWeb. I utilized the Pike County, Kentucky Genealogy site and Detroit Library. If I have any errors regarding any information, please e-mail me so I can change that information.
