Feeling so much pain after being rejected
Head hung low, hiding her eyes until she's chosen
By the one who whispers love in words softly spoken
Pushed in the corner it gets harder to fight
The only sound, her desperate tears in the night
So close to happiness, but still so far away
Her broken wings try to lift her through the darkest day
Lost and so scared she cries alone
This ones heart will turn so angry and cold
Wandering through life with no aim
They sit and laugh, for them its all in the game
Putting back together her life thats been dejected
Picking her heart up that was so badly rejected
Placing it carefully back together
To protect herself from hurt forever
Stumbling through all this confusion
Locked within chains within her own prison
Hidden away she knows she cant feel any pain
Stinging her cheek, the tears she cries alone again
Alone she will stand and face the darkness
Thrown into this sudden emptiness
She's broken lost and so much alone
Her heart chosen to be a fool no more
