Tomatoes

I got my tomato seeds for free. They came as a special free 'kid's greenhouse' offer that I found on my sunflower seeds that I grew last year. They're called Flower Pot tomatoes and are supposed to grow to the size the container you plant them in allows. Funny thing is, the plant in the smaller pot is larger than one of the plants in the larger pots.

Two of the three plants ... with some blossoms :)

Tomato Babies!

My first ripening tomato! I thought I was going to end up with smaller tomatoes, but they're actually normal sized.

Ewwwww! My first ripe tomato had blossom end rot, so I had to toss it out. Someone told me I could have cut that black spot off and still eaten the tomato but no thanks!

My first GOOD ripe tomato. Haven't eaten it yet. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to eat it in a salad or just eat it alone. I picked this one July 10th :)

These two were barely pink on 7/10 ... I took these pictures on 7/11

These are starting to turn pink ... so I'll have a few more ready to pick in the next couple weeks :)

These are seedlings that Rick's Granny started from seeds that came from grape tomatoes in a pasta salad I made. She started them on Mother's Day, and I only transplanted them last week sometime. I'm not sure they'll actually do anything, but I figured what the hell, can't hurt to try right.
