Adam's Airplane Adventure
Southwest Middle School, the school Adam goes to, takes it's Fifth Graders to the local airport for a day of activities with the most anticipated activity being a plane ride.
Two of the members of the local RC plane club explain the parts of the airplane and how flight works
They also flew the RC planes and helicopters for the kids. Here's one of the helicopters in flight. The guys also explained how a helicopter flies.

Boarding the plane
The last kid boards the plane. They took groups of 4 at a time.
Here's Adam's plane taking off. The plane ride lasted about 15-20 minutes (seemed like forever for Judy and I though) and brought them on an aerial scenic tour of the town.
As he was walking back to where Judy and I were standing it was really hard to tell whether he enjoyed himself or not. He looked kind of stunned. He LOVED the ride and wanted to go again.
