Lemon Cucumbers

I planted Lemon Cucumbers from seeds I bought in the clearance bin for a dime. I also planted regular cucumbers from seeds saved from one of Rick's Granny's cucumbers from last year. The regular ones never grew, but the Lemon Cukes went to town.

That's them in the background behind the green beans. At that point I wasn't sure if I had all of one variety or a mix of both.

Lots and lots of pretty blooms! I was worried that I'd have to go out and hand pollinate all those blossoms. But a few days later I noticed something else on the plant.

Babies!!!! Cute little baby cucumbers lol ... so I guess no hand pollination needed.

Baby cucumbers and some that are growing up :)

Almost ready to pick. And still more blossoms and babies. All the ones pictured here have since been picked and consumed. Very yummy! I've got tons more babies and still more blossoms opening up too.

Ok, I had to do it:

A lovely sliced up lemon cucumber waiting for me to munch on.
