This book is based on the stories told by William Richard Thomas a man I consider knew so much about the early history of Broken Hill and their pioneers. I have uncovered many interesting events that happened during the very early days of Broken Hill's history. I wanted to share with others some of the many characters I have found during the years I have been Researching.
This book is near out of print. Only a few copies may be found in Broken Hill in some of our local book shops

This book is based on many of the very early women from Broken Hill and District. Some were born in Broken Hill where others came from Victoria or SA or other parts of NSW. I have covered many of the very early women from the district, known to the old timers as the Barrier Ranges. I was unable to write about every woman, as there are far too many wonderful women around. I tried so hard to find photgraphs of each person but found some impossible to find.
