We hold an extensive range of local records and genealogical information that is separate to the Archives Section at the Charles Rasp Library.
Family History Resources;
A variety of resources are available in book form microfiche, microfilm, and C-D ROM. All are readily available to the Family History Researcher.
We have Broken Hill and District Cemetery records, Silverton,Wilcannia, Menindee, White Cliffs, Tibooburra and many other little settlements around the district. We have indexed all the newspapers relating to local Birth, Deaths and Marriages. We have early undertaker records and many other indexes. We have some mine employment records but not all of them as many were destroyed by the mining companies. We have some mine employment photographs and copies may be purchased when applying. We have cemetery plans and have headstones indexed also. We hold some family tree's on record. We have the South Australian BDM. We produce one newsletter per year around September.
